Patrick and Lt. Gov. Timothy P. Murray to fire Sheila Burgess, the state’s highway safety director, whom The Boston Globe reported has a driving record that includes seven accidents, four speeding violations, and two failures to stop for a police officer.
“It’s really unbelievable. You have an individual who has no qualifications for a safety program, other than she was a political operative and fundraiser for 20 years for politicians,” Rep. Ryan C. Fattman of Sutton said.
