Samsung Gear S3 Classic Unboxing & Review - The Tech Corner

At long last! The Samsung Gear S3 Classic is finally here! I greatly enjoyed the Gear S2 experience, but I used that for fitness tracking. My daily wearable was my Huawei Watch. I sold both to get the Gear S3 Classic. The Gear S3 has a lot going for it, but was it worth my gamble to replace two watches?

Here
are some of my Pros & Cons.

Pros:

• Good-size screen
• Well-built. Bezel easier to
  grip
• Water resistance is a huge
  plus
• Make & Review phone calls
• Pair headphones to the watch
  for calls or music consumption
• Watch can be paired to
  non-Samsung phones (compatibility varies)
• Samsung Pay both NFC and MST!
• Beautiful AMOLED display can
  be read in sunlight

Cons:

• Samsung Pay limited to debit
  and credit cards
• Can’t sync cards between
  Samsung Pay on watch & smartphone
• Watch notifications are
  inconsistent. Sometimes there’s a few seconds in between notifications
  received on the phone then pushed to watch
• Battery life is a mixed bag.
  My battery life has dropped to 2 days max with wifi off
• S-Voice easily triggers.
  S-Voice still sucks
• Only 1.6 GB of storage
  available for use after first setting up the watch
• Can only pair the watch to
  one smartphone at a time
• Screen lock on the watch can
  be annoying
• Outdoor Mode for the screen
  can lag to adjust when adjusting to sunlight
• Too expensive
