iMore: Apple announces the new iPad

Features include:

Retina display at 2024×1536.
A5X chipset with quad-core graphics.
5 megapixel rear camera, IR filter, autofocus and white balance, face detection (essentially iPhone 4 camera with iPhone 4S software)
1080p HD video recording
Dictation (not Siri, alas)
LTE 4G networking 72mbps, HSPA+ up to 42mbps
9 hours battery life on 4G! - 9.4mm thin, weighing 1.4lbs. - $499 for 16GB, 32GB is $599 and 64GB for $699. - 4G iPad wil be priced at: $629, $729 and $829.
New iPad available on March 16th.
Pre-orders start today!
All built in “stock” apps have been updated to take advantage of the new Retina Display.
Updates to Garage Band and iMovie.
Updates to all iWork Apps.

The iPad 2 will now be on sale for $399 for the 16 GB model.
